Cupcakes in San Francisco
While my travels have yet to take me far and distance places, I can say with all my heart that San Francisco is one of my favorite places to visit in the whole wide world! As per tradition, the week before Thanksgiving I embarked on my third Mother Daughter San Francisco Shopping Trip. It’s an event that I look forward to (and start saving for) all year!
The title of the trip does state SHOPPING and shopping is what we do….three straight days in beautiful Union Square. Our credit cards are swiped at the six story Macys, the three levels of Banana Republic or a mall with five floors of the always amazing Nordstrom’s (and those are just the main ones). Each year we come home with bags full of new shoes, clothes and accessories- it’s like Christmas in November!
This year my mission went beyond clothing….a new city meant an opportunity to try new CUPCAKES! Before I left for
San Francisco some family helped me located a few great bakeries near the hotel we were staying at. On my last day I set out in search of Cako…
Hidden off a little side street was this simple cute bakery. Because we went late in the day the selection of flavors was low but we made due with one Chocolate Coconut Cupcake and Apple Pie Cupcake. It was delicious…..after a full day of shopping, these cupcakes hit the spot!
Can’t wait to go back to try Citizen Cake- I fell in LOVE with all the little goodies on their menu! San Francisco…till next time- thanks for another awesome trip!
